Christian Blogging – Taking a Break

Random-Thoughts

Grief. It can effect everyone in a unique way.

Some cry. Some shut down. Some put up a wall. Others act out in anger or rebellion.

We may not even be fully aware of how our words and actions can be reflecting on our image.

Grief isn’t an excuse to behave poorly. However, I can say with confidence that I’ve definitely been acting like my former-self lately. I apologize if I’ve given anyone the wrong impression of who I am. Today I am feeling full of guilt and shame.

As we continue to mourn the loss of a good friend, I think it’s important that I take a little break from writing Christian blog posts.

Though my faith is unshakable, my spirit can still feel crushed. I just need to spend some time in prayer about the loss and my attitude.

There will be several guest posts coming up and also a couple articles on iBelieve.com. Please stay tuned for these upcoming posts. I will also continue to share recipes and book reviews if they come up.

I’m hoping to spend more time writing my book and come back to Christian blogging with a fresh perspective.

Additionally, thank you very much to our supportive friends and family. Thank you readers for your understanding. God bless you!

  1. Mara, you do what you need to in order to process and heal. I’m glad you’re taking a step away so you can give yourself space and time to grieve. Losing someone is so, so hard. Grief can take many unexpected turns. It’s okay to be angry, to be sad, to be heartbroken. You don’t have to plaster a smile on your face if you don’t feel like it. God can handle anything you throw at Him. I’ll be praying you can grieve with honesty but healthily.
